Jelexie Bakeshop was established in Tarlac City in 1984 as a backyard bakeshop by its founder, Mr. Armando Tan who had just migrated from China to the Philippines. With its first branch in M.H. Del Pilar Street, Jelexie was mainly engaged in the distribution of its breads in different canteens and supermarkets. After Mr. Tan passed away in 1990, his eldest son, Mr. Jimmy Tan, took over the company. This is where Jelexie began to expand, as two more branches opened within the Tarlac province that same year. Wanting to live out its founder’s mission to become strategically competitive and innovative, Jelexie opened another branch in 2000 and have been opening other branches almost every year since then. Today, it stands proud of its 38 branches all over Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, and Pangasinan. The company slogan, “Ang Sarap Kasama Sa Bawat Okasyon” (“Great To Have In Every Occasion”), upholds Jelexie’s mission to become a highly customer-driven and family-oriented corporation. It continues to produce freshly baked breads and cakes which give customers the best value for their money. [yasr_visitor_votes size=”medium”]

Goldilocks traces its roots to the collaboration and complementary talents of the women whose collective love for good food fueled what has been transformed into the global enterprise today. On May 15, 1966, Filipino-Chinese sisters, Milagros Leelin Yee and Clarita Leelin Go, and their sister-in-law Doris Wilson Leelin, opened the first Goldilocks store on a 70 m2 (750 sq ft) space on the ground floor of a three-story building along Pasong Tamo Street in Makati and started with only 10 employees. In 1976, Goldilocks opened its first store in the United States particularly in Los Angeles. In 1991, Goldilocks launched a franchising program which led to the opening of hundreds of Goldilocks’ store in Metro Manila. Other stores were later set up in other parts of California such as in San Francisco, San Jose and in Las Vegas,Nevada. Pancake House International planned to acquire Goldilocks Bakeshop, but negotiations to acquire the bakeshop chain fell in 2006. Pancake House offered to acquire Goldilocks for ₱2 billion. Mariels’s Cookies/Biscuit atop. is filled with delicious pastry products and dry goods perfect for an afternoon snack. Some would even call this place as the “Pasalubong Center” because of the assortment of scrumptious snacks that you can buy. What is interesting about it is that each of the packages are not labeled with any brand. But you need not to worry about nameless products, it’s just that these products directly came from the supplier and therefore everything that is offered here is cheaper compared to the commercialized products that we know. Also, frequent customers love this place for they have fallen in love with the distinctive tastes of their snacks. Some of their best-selling goods are their nachos, chocolate chip cookies, banana chips, barquillos and many other delicacy that we usually enjoy eating during our free time. These food are definitely a good choice whenever we feel to muncho on something and pair it with a lemonade, orange juice or an afternoon coffee. Mariel Cookies And Biscuits may not offer a very cheap price but it is reasonable enough to make you buy in bulk. The shop itself is relatively small and it is open from morning ‘til afternoon right after the […]
